A Comprehensive Support Journey for Success

The AFI program offers a multi-phase support journey to maximize the impact and sustainability of participating organizations:

• Online Training on Small Donor Campaigns: Selected organizations begin with an intensive online training program. This phase is entirely focused on strategies and techniques for small donor fundraising campaigns, essential for diversifying revenue streams.
• 30-Day Fundraising Challenge: Following theoretical learning, participants move into practical application by undertaking a concrete 30-day fundraising challenge. During this challenge, high-performing structures have the unique opportunity to secure up to 5,000 USD in matching funds, thereby boosting their fundraising efforts.
• Intensive Workshop in Kigali: For the most successful organizations (up to 10 in total), the program culminates in a one-week intensive workshop. This event takes place at the New Africa Fund's training center in Kigali, Rwanda. The advanced workshop covers critical aspects of institutional development and management, including:
  • Financial management and sustainability
  • Impactful marketing and communication strategies
  • Grant proposal writing and funding research
  • Donor retention and community engagement
  • Effective local campaign organization
• Free 12-Month Fiscal Sponsorship: All participating organizations benefit from a free 12-month fiscal sponsorship provided by the New Africa Fund. This opportunity can be extended based on the evolution and needs of each organization's activities, offering invaluable support for compliance and access to new funding opportunities.
